We’ve Got Love for Jessica Mauboy! Listen to her Entry here!

This year Australia surprised us all with an early announcement of their Eurovision representative this year, announcing that it would be Jessica Mauboy who would return to the contest, this time as a competitor. You’ll remember that we saw Jess perform in Eurovision 2014 as the interval act in the semi-final, and clearly it left her with a taste for Eurovision.

Earlier in the week we finally started to see teasers on Jessica’s social media pages, and in true form, the song was leaked early, although not the final cut of the song. We now have the official video and the final version of the song, which was written by Australian songwriters David Musumeci and Anthony Egizii, who also worked on both Dami’s and Isaiah’s entries over the last two years, both of which finished in the Top 10.

Jessica talked about her song #We Got Love, saying, ‘I love the Eurovision Song Contest. I have since I was a little girl watching it with the family in Darwin. I wanted to write a song that captured that instinctive sense of joy of how a great song can change the darkest of moods into happiness. #We Got Love is also about how music can lift the human spirit. You can always rise above in the hardest times with something as simple as a great song. Eurovision, to me, is people brought together through a real love of music and all the joy that music can bring. I can’t wait to perform this song live in Portugal and see it connect with a global audience at such a special time.
